Who was the General called Attila of West?

Attila of the West was the name given to the Visigothic king Euric (reigned 466-484). He was so named because he led a series of successful campaigns in the Western Roman Empire, and was seen by the Romans as a new Attila the Hun, who had ravaged the Eastern Roman Empire only a few years earlier. Euric was a talented general and a ruthless warrior, and his conquests allowed the Visigoths to establish a powerful kingdom in southwestern Europe.
