Why were the colonists angered by issuance of thee proclamation line 1763?

It limited American settlers from exploring new land west of the Appalachian Mountains. The Proclamation Line of 1763 limited colonist settlements in western areas between the Appalachians and the Mississippi River because they were trying to avoid conflict with Native Americans living west of the line. This greatly frustrated colonist. Many had fought in the recent French and Indian War (1754-1763) with the expectation of gaining land as reward.
