Who were Genghis sons?

Genghis Khan had at least four sons who played significant roles in expanding and ruling the Mongol Empire:

1. Jochi: Jochi was the eldest son of Genghis Khan and was considered a capable military commander. He played a crucial role in the Mongol conquests of Central Asia and Eastern Europe. However, he predeceased Genghis Khan, and his descendants would later establish the Golden Horde, which ruled over large parts of Eastern Europe and Russia.

2. Chagatai: Chagatai was the second son of Genghis Khan and was known for his military prowess and strict adherence to Mongol customs and laws. He was assigned the region of Central Asia as his domain and established the Chagatai Khanate.

3. Ögedei: Ögedei was the third son of Genghis Khan and succeeded him as the Great Khan or supreme ruler of the Mongol Empire. During his reign, the Mongols expanded their empire to its greatest extent, conquering vast territories in Asia and Eastern Europe. He was known for his diplomatic skills and administrative abilities.

4. Tolui: Tolui was the youngest son of Genghis Khan and was renowned for his military leadership and loyalty. He played a key role in several Mongol conquests, including the campaigns against the Khwarazmian Empire and the Song Dynasty in China. His sons, Möngke and Kublai Khan, would later become Great Khans and continue the expansion and consolidation of the Mongol Empire.
