Ancient history

What is one reason colonists had difficulty coming together to revolt against Britain?

The colonists lived in different colonies, each with its own government, laws, and economy. This made it difficult for them to unite and act together. Some colonies, such as Massachusetts and Virginia, were more radical and ready for revolution than others, such as Pennsylvania and New York. Additionally, there were disagreements among the colonists about how to proceed and what kind of government to establish after independence.
