When were pyramids made?

Pyramids were primarily constructed during the Old Kingdom period of ancient Egypt (around 2700-2200 BC). They served as monumental tombs for pharaohs and symbolized their divine status and power. The most famous and iconic pyramids include the Great Pyramids of Giza, built for the pharaohs Khufu (Cheops), Khafre (Chephren), and Menkaure (Mycerinus).
