Did Trajan built the roman roads?

The road-building program associated with Emperor Trajan's name was actually initiated by his predecessor. It was constructed to improve access between Italy and Germania and across the Danube in present-day Romania.. He did undertake significant improvements, adding bridges, milestones, rest stops, inns, and guard posts all along the way so people and supplies to move efficiently without the hassle of robbers that usually looted their goods for supplies.
