Why was the oneida tribe forced to move WI?

The Oneida Tribe was forced to move to WI because of the Indian Removal Act of 1830, which was a federal law that authorized the removal of Native American tribes from their ancestral lands in the eastern United States to Indian Territory in present-day Oklahoma. The Oneida Tribe was one of the tribes that was affected by this law and was forced to move from their homeland in New York to Wisconsin in the early 1830s.
