What type of clothing did the Roanoke settlers wear?

The 1585 colonists to Roanoke wore 16th-century European clothing typical of English peasants and gentry of that time. This means most people (servants, laborers, craftsmen, farmers) would have worn heavy, simple woolens (like the famous "linsey-woolsey"). Men of all walks of life wore woolen or leather breeches (knee-length shorts that fastened from waist to knee with points or garters).
