Ancient history

What is the great benefit that agriculture provided early farmers?

Increased Food Productivity and Surplus:

By adopting agriculture, early farmers could produce a surplus of food that was not readily available as hunter-gatherers. Through domestication and cultivation, the yield per unit area of land increased tremendously, enabling farmers to sustain larger populations. The reliability of agricultural practices such as irrigation further reduced the risk of hunger and famines, leading to more stable, settled communities.
