How do you use culture hearth?

A culture hearth is an area from which cultural traits and innovations diffuse to other areas. In geography and anthropology, the term is used to describe a specific territory from which a new belief, language, or technology first spreads.

For example, the Fertile Crescent, in what is now Iraq, is considered a culture hearth for farming and agriculture. This area is where some of the earliest evidence of agriculture has been found, and the tools used to cultivate crops and domesticate animals were developed there, before spreading to other parts of the world.
