Is Wheat new world or old world?

Wheat is an old world grain.

Wheat was first cultivated in the Fertile Crescent region of the Middle East, which is considered the birthplace of agriculture. This region includes parts of modern-day Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, and Jordan. Wheat was one of the first crops to be domesticated, and its cultivation spread throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa. Today, wheat is grown in many parts of the world and is a staple food for much of the global population.
