In the Columbian Exchange Old World and New exchanged?

The Columbian Exchange refers to the transfer of plants, animals, diseases, technologies, and ideas between the Eastern and Western hemispheres (American and the Euro-Afroasiatic continents) following the travels of Christopher Columbus. Through this extensive cultural and biological exchange in the 15th and 16th centuries, both hemispheres had a lasting and significant impact on each other's cultural landscapes.
