Why is Hades so mean?

Hades is not necessarily mean, but he is often portrayed as a stern and imposing figure. As the God of the Underworld and the dead, he has solemn responsibilities and is tasked with maintaining order and balance in the realm of the deceased. Additionally, Greek mythology often depicted him as a reserved and distant deity who rarely interacts directly with the world of the living. These characteristics may contribute to Hades' perception of being mean, even though he's not inherently villainous or intentionally cruel.
