Who was before Zeus?

In Greek mythology, Zeus' father was Cronus (also spelled Kronos or Chronos), and his mother was Rhea, the Greek Titans of time and agriculture. Cronus feared that one of his children would grow up, overthrow him, and become supreme in his place, so he devoured them whole as soon as they were born. Zeus was swallowed last but his mother, Rhea, saved him giving Cronus a stone wrapped in swaddling clothes.
