How did the Columbian Exchange benefit Native Americans?

While the European arrival brought some benefits in terms of new technologies and improved agricultural processes, the overall impact of the Columbian Exchange was devastating for Native Americans. It introduced infectious diseases such as smallpox, measles, and typhus which decimated native populations due to their lack of immunity. Furthermore, it resulted in their loss of indigenous cultural and societal traditions resulting from European colonization and dominance. Ultimately, this brought more negative consequences than benefits to those indigenous to the Americas.
