The 1849 Seated Liberty dime is one of the rarest in the series, with only 2,420 to survive today. It is easily identifiable by its bold lettering, which can almost appear distorted or uneven. The obverse features the traditional Seated Liberty design with the words 'United States of America' and 'Liberty' displayed near the head of Liberty. The reverse displays a wreath surrounding the numeral '10' with the words 'One Dime.' There are no known varieties for the 1849 Seated Liberty dime.
