What did women use for hair dye in World War 1?

During the First World War, women commonly used henna, indigo, and even common household items like walnut powder and tea to dye their hair. These natural dye sources were widely available and had been used for centuries to change hair color. Commercially produced hair dyes were also present in the market but weren't as easily accessible due to the ongoing war and the shifting priorities in the chemical industry.
