What is the average house size in 18th century?

In 18th century, the average house size could vary widely depending on factors like location, wealth of the owner and the era within the 18th century.

In general, dwellings for most of the population were relatively modest in size. The average house in Western Europe and United States during that time was usually around 1000 to 1200 square feet, with three to four bedrooms.

However, wealthier individuals and families could occupy much larger residences, potentially in the range of several thousand square feet.
