Who were the carvetii tribe?

The Carvetii were a Celtic tribe who inhabited part of what is now County Kildare in Ireland. They were one of the most powerful tribes in Ireland during the Iron Age, and were known for their wealth and military strength. The Carvetii were also skilled in metalworking, and produced some of the finest metalwork in Ireland.

The Carvetii were defeated by the Romans in the 1st century AD, and were absorbed into the Roman Empire. The Carvetii continued to live in Ireland after the fall of the Roman Empire, and were eventually absorbed into the Irish people.

The Carvetii are remembered today for their wealth, military strength, and skill in metalworking. They were an important part of Irish history, and their legacy continues to this day.
