A shipwreck, which has remained submerged for centuries, has been located near the island of Molat in the Adriatic Sea. The shipwreck dates from the 1st century AD. and he is in good condition, said Dino Taras of the archaeological museum of Zadar.
The archaeological site was discovered at a depth of 20 meters and, therefore, is very suitable for archaeological research, noted Mr. Taras. The space covers an area of 75 square meters and the cargo of the ship, which is at the bottom of the sea, consists of tegulae and imbrex type tiles, which were used in antiquity.
After desalination, the archaeological finds will be further tested, so that their exact dating is possible.
