Athabaska District , part of the original Northwest Territories in Canada . The district was founded in 1882 and expanded to the east in 1895. It was abolished in 1905. Its Territory included the northern parts of today's Alberta and Saskatchewan as well as a small part of the north-west Manitoba .
Armagnac , Southwest Historical Region France , is now in Department Gers. It is a hilly region reaching 300m in height, drained by the Gers and other rivers that fan out from the Lannemezan Plateau. On the slopes of its hills grow the grapes from which the famous Armagnac Brandy .
