How many Polish Jews perished in the Holocaust and how survived?

The number of Polish Jews who perished in the Holocaust is estimated to be between 3 and 3.5 million. This represents approximately 90% of the Jewish population of Poland before the war. The vast majority of Polish Jews were killed in Nazi death camps, such as Auschwitz-Birkenau, Treblinka, and Majdanek.

A small number of Polish Jews managed to survive the Holocaust by hiding, fleeing to other countries, or fighting in the resistance. It is estimated that around 300,000 Polish Jews survived the Holocaust.
