What role in world war 2 did the allied powers and axis play?

The Allied Powers and the Axis Powers were the two main coalitions that fought in World War II. The Allied Powers were made up of the United States, the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, and China, among others. The Axis Powers were made up of Germany, Italy, and Japan.

World War II was a global conflict that involved more than 30 countries. The war began in 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. Japan joined the war in 1941 after attacking Pearl Harbor. The Allied Powers eventually defeated the Axis Powers in 1945.
