1. Establishment of the Council of Foreign Ministers: Established to handle the peace settlements including determining the borders of Germany and Austria, and the reparations that would be paid by Germany.
2. Tripartite Agreement on the Control of Germany: It led to the division of Germany into four zones of allied military occupation. The zones of France, Britain, the United States were located in western Germany and west Berlin. The Soviet zone controlled eastern Germany and east Berlin.
3. Potsdam Declaration: an ultimatum calling on Japan to surrender on the terms set forth in the declaration; alternatively threatened prompt and utter destruction; the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki resulted in Japan’s surrender.
4. Oder-Neisse Line: It decided that the German territories beyond Oder and Neisse Rivers shall be placed under the administration of Poland. The future of these areas was to be determined by a peace treaty.
5. War Crimes: The Soviet, British and American representatives agreed that the Nazi leaders who had committed war crimes should be tried by a military tribunal at Nuremberg, Germany.
6. Resettlement of Germans from Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary: The three leaders stated that the resettlement of Germans from Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary would have to be humane, orderly and according to the wishes of the occupying authorities.
7. International War Crimes Tribunal: It agreed that the major war criminals would be punished by the International Military Tribunal that will sit in Berlin.
