Why the Treaty of Sevres last?

The Treaty of Sevres did not last because it was never ratified by the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The Turkish National Movement, led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, rejected the treaty and launched a war of independence against the Allied forces that had occupied Turkey after World War I. The Turkish victory in the Turkish War of Independence led to the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923, which replaced the Treaty of Sevres and established the modern Republic of Turkey.
