History of Europe

Where did the conflict of crusades take place?

The Crusades were a series of religious wars between Christians and Muslims that took place in the Middle East between 1095 and 1291. The Crusades were fought over control of the Holy Land, which is the area of land that includes modern-day Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. The Crusades were also fought for control of trade routes between Europe and Asia, and for control of religious sites in the Middle East.
