History of Europe

Where did the Jews first start out?

The Jewish people are believed to have originated in the region of the Ancient Near East, which includes modern-day Israel and the surrounding areas. The earliest known evidence of Jewish settlement in this region dates back to the 13th century BCE, with the discovery of the Tel Dan Stele, an inscribed stone that mentions the "House of David." This suggests that the Jewish people were already present in the region by this time, and had established a kingdom centered in Jerusalem.
