What 3 things did Rome give to America?

The Roman civilization influenced the United States in various ways, and while it did not literally give any physical objects, here are three concepts that the U.S. adopted and adapted from the Roman Empire:

1. Republicanism and Democracy: The United States' system of government is a representative democracy, much like the Roman Republic, where citizens elect representatives to make decisions. The ideas of checks and balances, separation of powers, and citizenship all originated in ancient Rome.

2. Legal Framework and the Constitution: The U.S. legal system is based on principles derived from Roman law, which had a profound impact on the development of law in Western societies. The U.S. Constitution, inspired by Roman political thought and the structure of the Roman Republic, established a federal system that balanced power between central government and regional autonomy.

3. Architectural Influence: Roman architecture, characterized by arches, domes, and the use of concrete, inspired architectural styles in the United States, especially prominent in public buildings and monumental structures. Notable American landmarks like the U.S. Capitol, the White House, and many government buildings reflect Roman architectural influences.
