NOF was not a simple separatist organization. Its members began attacks against the Greeks before the official outbreak of the Civil War, while during it they thickened the ranks of the DSE. According to some sources, the NOFites constituted up to 60% of the DSE forces on a case-by-case basis and are responsible for the biggest disasters in the country.
The following text, announcement of the NOF, does not need special evaluation. It is so propagandistic that if it were not dangerous, as it turned out, for the Motherland, it would be ridiculous, since only for the possible hair loss of the Slavs does he not blame the Greeks. On the other hand, the non-communist Greeks are presented as squatters, rapists, scum of this world, compared to the "stateless" Slavs who simply wanted to separate Macedonia from "evil" Greece. "Our bloody story continues. New blood is staining our soil:The monarcho-fascist cliques of the EDES and Burandas, with the tolerance of the state bodies and the Bulgarian government itself, continue with greater rage and fury the terrorism and persecution against the followers of the resistance and especially against the Macedonian people. Their purpose is to eliminate them from the land, which for hundreds of years they have watered it with their sweat and blood, the Macedonians still live the most tortured, the blackest and persecuted life, the one they lived during the years of the Turkish rule. The Macedonian soil is repainted by the blood of Macedonian and Greek anti-fascists.
"From Vourbiani, Lypcista, Izgledi, Setina, Gornitsevo to the distant Rhodope, new dramas, new tragedies. All these atrocities and vandalism aim at one goal. The Macedonians are asking to exterminate them, to uproot them from the Macedonian land. And the Greek anti-fascists want to make them unable to resist, when they carry out the coup, which they are preparing for the restoration of the king.
"The monarcho-fascists with the tolerance of the official state bodies and the Bulgarian government have been working and preparing the ground for a long time to bring back to the neck of the Greek and Macedonian people the traitor and traitor Glix-Bourg, this evil demon and instigator of the 4th of August. Macedonians and Greeks, embraced as one man, are fighting against the fascist measures and the terrorism unleashed by the Bulgarian government with its highly paid organs, Macedonians and Greeks, as recently as four years ago, fought united and expelled the conqueror from our land, today with even more determination they will fight so that the monarcho-fascists cannot carry out their plans. The return of Glix-Bourg means a new fourth of August. New dictatorship, new chains for the Macedonian and Greek people. Wild juicing, impoverishment and misery awaits us. New sell-out to foreign powers".
MACEDONIANS AND GREEKS
"United as one man, face the fascist terrorism of the fascist purges of the EDESite gangs of Zervas, the Tsirakis, Kolaras, Papadopoulos and the Buradados, who, with the tolerance and guidance of the Bulgarian Government, are committing crimes against you. Do not let anyone capture, plunder and extort your women and girls. All together men women, girls, children and old people, resist against the Braves of fascism.
"Protest with memoranda and commissions to the representatives of the American, Russian and British inter-allied commission about the barbarities and crimes committed against the Macedonian and Greek anti-fascists. United, continue the fight. Resolutely strike every move, every attempt by the right and its organs for a coup. Rip off the pseudo-democratic mask. Stay awake and always ready.
The united struggle of Greeks and Macedonians is the guarantee for the victory of the democratic principles".
This is stated in a proclamation of the NOF (Народноослободителен фронт -НОФ =National Liberation Front) of the Slavic separatists who, by some whim of history, happened to be found in Greek Macedonian, written in Greek and Bulgarian, published in 1945.
