Throughout history we have demonstrated our ample capacity to devise different methods of torture or execution, but I believe that death Ling Chi (slow death or death by a thousand cuts ) surpasses them all for its cruelty.
The Ling Chi method was a form of torture and execution used in China from about the year 900 until its abolition in 1905. The practice consisted of making several cuts with a blade in non-vital body parts (chest, arms and legs) causing prolonged agony… To end up killing him with decapitation or removal of a vital organ and subsequent dismemberment.
