Anubis was the Egyptian God of Embalming, Funeral and Afterlife. He is also known as the God of the Dead
Here are some of His Notable Achievements:

- He also guided the souls of the deceased to the underworld and helped to weigh their hearts in the Hall of Judgement
- Anubis was a protector of the dead. He was often depicted as a jackal- or dog-headed man, and he was often invoked to protect the tombs of the dead
- He assisted Osiris, the God of the Underworld in preparing dead people's soul journey to the afterlife
- He was said to have invented embalming and mummification, which were essential to the ancient Egyptian belief in eternal life

- Anubis was also closely linked to the "Opening of The Mouth" ceremony, a critical process that enabled newly deceased pharaohs to eat, breath and speak again in the afterlife
