History of South America

Where did the first people in western hemisphere come from?

The first people in the Western Hemisphere came from Asia, specifically from eastern Siberia. They crossed the Bering Strait during the last glacial period, when sea levels were lower and a land bridge connected the continents. These people were likely nomadic hunters and gatherers who followed herds of animals across the land bridge. They eventually spread throughout the Americas, becoming the ancestors of the various indigenous peoples of the region.
