History of South America

How did the south use war of attrition?

The South did not have the capability to use the war of attrition against the North for the following reasons:

1. The North had a much larger population, so it could replenish its losses more easily.

2. The Northern economy was much stronger, so it could produce more weapons and supplies.

3. The Northern navy was much stronger, so it could blockade Southern ports and prevent them from importing food and supplies.
