Where did pregnant women get evacuated to in World War II?

During World War II, pregnant women in Britain were often evacuated from cities and towns that were considered at high risk of bombing by the Germans. This included areas such as London, Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham. Pregnant women were typically sent to rural areas, where they would be safer from air raids and would have access to better medical care. Often they would be billeted with local families or in hostels and guest houses.
