History of South America

Who invaded Mexico?

The United States invaded Mexico twice. The first time was during the Mexican-American War (1846-1848), which resulted in the United States annexing more than half of Mexico's territory, including the present-day states of California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and parts of Colorado, Wyoming, and Kansas.

The second time was during the United States occupation of Veracruz (1914), which was part of the United States' intervention in the Mexican Revolution. The United States occupied the port city of Veracruz for seven months in an attempt to force the Mexican government to comply with its demands.
