Where did Menominee Indians live?

Menominee Indians have historically resided in what is present-day northeastern Wisconsin and the northernmost Lower peninsula of Michigan in the United States. They traditionally occupied territories along Green Bay in Wisconsin to the Menominee River that extends to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This region holds cultural and spiritual significance for the Menominee people and forms the core of their ancestral homeland. Some Menominee individuals also settled outside these core areas but always maintained close connections to and a sense of rootedness in their traditional homelands.
