Why did a fleet of ships depart from Mycenae for Troy?

According to Greek mythology, a fleet of ships departed from Mycenae for Troy because Paris, the son of the Trojan king Priam, abducted Helen, the wife of Menelaus, the king of Sparta. This act of aggression sparked the Trojan War, a legendary conflict between the Greeks and the Trojans that lasted for ten years and resulted in the fall of Troy. The fleet of ships from Mycenae was led by Agamemnon, the brother of Menelaus and the commander-in-chief of the Greek forces. The fleet consisted of more than a thousand ships and carried a large army of Greek warriors.
