What was the solution of World War 2?

World War 2 ended with the unconditional surrender of the Axis powers. The terms of surrender were set out in the Potsdam Declaration and formalized in the Treaty of Versailles. Germany, Italy, and Japan were compelled to give up some of their territories. The war took millions of lives and created enormous destruction. To solve some immediate political issues, and build international peace and security, The United Nations was founded in 1945 after the end of World War II to prevent another such conflict. In the aftermath of the conflict, several trials for war crimes were prosecuted under the Nuremberg Military Tribunal and elsewhere under Allied supervision.
