How did George Reid help federation of Australia?

1. As Premier of New South Wales (1894-1899):

- Reid was an avid supporter of the federation , working with fellow colonial leaders Sir Henry Parkes ( NSW), Richard O'Connor ( NSW) and Charles Kingston (SA) to draft legislation and hold intercolonial conventions

2. Advocated for federation across Australia : He travelled internationally and promoted Australia as a federal nation that had the potential to be a powerful trading hub for the Asia -Pacific region

3. Hosted Federal Conventions; Reid served as Chairman at both conventions ; The 1897 and 1898 National Australasian Conventions which led to development and refinement Constitutional Convention Bill
