What will happen to earth according the Mayans?

The Mayans did not predict the end of the world in 2012, at least not in any scientific or universally consistent manner. The Long Count calendar, used by the Maya civilization of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, underwent a "reset" or transition, known as the "end of the 13th B'aktun," on December 21, 2012. This date marked the end of a 5,125-year cycle in the Maya calendar and was seen by some as a symbolic marker for a new era, rather than a cataclysmic event.
