What two new alliances were formed after world war 2?

After World War 2, two major alliances were formed:

1) The Western Alliance: This alliance included the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Canada, and other Western European nations. It was formed to counter the threat of the Soviet Union and its allies in Eastern Europe. The alliance was based on the principles of democracy, capitalism, and the promotion of human rights. It also served as a way to promote economic and political cooperation among its members.

2) The Eastern Bloc: This alliance included the Soviet Union, its Eastern European satellite states (such as Poland, Czechoslovakia, and East Germany), and other Communist nations such as China, Cuba, and Vietnam. The Eastern Bloc was formed as a response to the Western Alliance and was based on the principles of Communism, state-control, and the suppression of individual liberties. The alliance aimed to promote the spread of Communism worldwide and counter the influence of the Western powers.
