Why an Industrial Revolution occur in the eastern mediteranean?

The Eastern Mediterranean did not experience an industrial revolution in the same way that some Western European countries did during the 18th and 19th centuries. Industrialization refers to the period of technological advancement that transformed agrarian societies based on agricultural practices to become economies centered around industrialized cities with mechanized production techniques in factories. While industrialization processes occurred to some extent in specific areas within the Eastern Mediterranean, the scope and impact were not comparable to the full-scale Industrial Revolution.
