What was one of the most important problems facing US following Revolutionary War?

Public Debt - One of the foremost challenges the US found itself grappling with directly after the Revolutionary War was managing and servicing the public debt that had piled up as a result of the prolonged fight for independence. Funding this monumental expenditure involved issuing bonds of several types. With limited sources of income to draw from the US struggled initially to make prompt and full payments of interest on this sizeable public debt.
