What states did sherman capture on his march in 1864?

During his famous March to the Sea in 1864, General William Sherman's Union forces captured the following states:

1. Georgia: Sherman's forces began their march from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and entered Georgia on November 15, 1864. They captured the city of Atlanta on September 2.

2. South Carolina: After leaving Georgia, Sherman's army continued its march through South Carolina, capturing the cities of Savannah on December 21, 1864.

3. North Carolina: Sherman's forces then moved north into North Carolina, capturing the cities of Fayetteville, Goldsboro, and Raleigh.
