What impact did the Kansas-Nebraska Act have on old Missouri Compromise line that had been border for slavery so many years?

Repealed the Missouri Compromise Line

The Kansas-Nebraska Act repealed the Missouri Compromise Line of 1820, which had prohibited slavery above the 36°30' parallel and allowed it below. Kansas and Nebraska, located in the northern parts of the territories, would now be determined by popular sovereignty in that the state legislature created by people residing there could decide by public vote of its residents in favor or against slavery within their state legislature or constitution's creation.
