History of North America

Is the Revolutionary War same as World 1?

The Revolutionary War, also known as the American Revolutionary War, took place between Great Britain and its thirteen colonies in North America from 1775 to 1783. It resulted in the colonies gaining their independence and forming the United States of America.

World War 1, or the First World War, took place from 1914 to 1918 and was a global conflict that involved most of the world's great powers, including the United States. It was a war between the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria) and the Allies (France, the United Kingdom, the Russian Empire, Italy, Japan, and the United States).

Therefore, the Revolutionary War is not the same as World War 1.
