What fields did progressive aim reform?

Social welfare: Progressives worked to improve the lives of the poor and disadvantaged and advocated for social welfare programs, such as pensions for widows and the elderly, unemployment insurance, and improved housing and sanitation conditions.

Labor rights: Progressives fought to improve the working conditions of the working class and supported unions and collective bargaining. They also worked to pass legislation to limit the number of hours workers could be required to work and to establish child labor laws.

Women's rights: Progressives fought for women's suffrage and other gender equality measures. They also worked to improve women's access to education and employment and to end discrimination against women.

Political reform: Progressives worked to make government more responsive to the needs of the people and advocated for reforms such as the direct primary, the initiative, and the referendum. They also worked to combat corruption and to reduce the influence of big business in politics.

Education reform: Progressives believed in the importance of education for all and worked to improve the quality of public schools and to make higher education more affordable.

Conservation: Progressives were concerned about the environmental impact of industrial development and worked to conserve natural resources and protect wildlife. They also supported policies to ensure sustainable use of natural resources.
