Who fought for the rights of blacks in Massachusetts 1780s?

In the 1780s, Massachusetts abolitionist and civil rights activist Prince Hall fought for the rights of blacks in the state. He is best known for his work with the African Lodge, which was the first black Masonic Lodge in the United States, founded in 1775. He was also involved in the creation of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society, the nation's first anti-slavery organization. Hall was a prominent voice in the movement to abolish slavery and to secure equal rights for blacks in the United States.
