History of North America

What is the worth of 1776 continental dollar?

There was no continental dollar in 1776. Continental dollars were issued in 1780. However, as far as their worth, they had no real value as coins. They were issued as paper money and were known for their rapid devaluation. Their value fluctuated wildly, and people began to lose faith in them as a currency. By 1785, continental dollars were worth virtually nothing.
