Is the confederate and Mississippi state flag same?

The Confederate flag and the Mississippi state flag were similar but not identical when Mississippi used the Confederate battle flag as its state flag.

- Confederate flag: Red background with a blue canton containing thirteen white stars arranged in a circle and two red bars crossing in the centre of the canton.

- Mississippi state flag (former design): Similar to the Confederate flag, except it had seven white stars instead of thirteen and the words "In God We Trust" beneath the bars

- Current Mississippi state flag: No longer features the Confederate battle flag; white background, red and blue bar crossing and "In God We Trust"
